Jim Hosking is a British film director. His first short film, ''Little Clumps of Hair'', premiered on BBC Three. His short film ''Renegades'' premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010. He directed the segment "G is for Grandad" for the film ''ABCs of Death 2'' in 2014. His first feature film ''The Greasy Strangler'' premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on 22 January 2016. It went on to win The Discovery Award at the British Independent Film Awards 2017, British Independent Film Awards 2016. It also won Best Comedy at the Empire (film magazine), Empire Film Awards 2017. His second feature film ''An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn'' premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on 20 January 2018. A film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the screenplay (or script) while guiding the film crew and actors in the fulfilment of that vision. BBC Three
BBC Three is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the BBC. It was first launched on 9 February 2003 with programmes targeting 16 to 34-year-olds, covering all genres including animation, comedy, current affairs, and drama series. The television channel closed down in 2016 and was replaced by an online-only BBC Three streaming channel. After six years of being online, BBC Three returned to linear television on 1 February 2022. ''ABCs of Death 2'' is a 2014 American comedy horror anthology film produced by Ant Timpson and Tim League. It contains 26 different shorts, each by different directors spanning various countries. It is a sequel to the 2012 film ''The ABCs of Death''. ''Empire'' is a British film magazine published monthly by Bauer Verlagsgruppe, Bauer Consumer Media. The first issue was published in May 1989. History David Hepworth of Emap, the publisher of British music magazines ''Q magazine, Q'' and ''Smash Hits'', among other titles, came up with the idea to publish a magazine similar to ''Q'', but for films. They recruited ''Smash Hits'' editor Barry McIlheney to edit the new magazine, with Hepworth as Editorial Director. Hepworth produced a one-page document of what he wanted to achieve. ''Tropical Cop Tales'' is an American comedy television series created by Jim Hosking and Toby Harvard for Adult Swim. The show revolves around two burned-out city cops, Keymarion "Primetime" Weeyums and Demetrius "Meechie" Franks, who have both relocated to an unnamed small tropical town for a relaxing end to their careers, but soon find out the town is not at all relaxing.
