Jim Gallagher, Jr.
James Thomas Gallagher Jr. (born March 24, 1961) is an American professional golfer and sportscaster. Early life Gallagher was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. His father, a career club pro, started him in golf at age six. His sister, Jackie, and brother, Jeff, both became touring professionals. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Professional career Gallagher turned pro in 1983 and joined the PGA Tour in 1984. He won five events on the PGA Tour. His first win came in 1990 at the Greater Milwaukee Open. In 1993, he won twice: the Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic and The Tour Championship. He repeated his two-win performance in 1995 by winning the KMart Greater Greensboro Open and the FedEx St. Jude Classic. Gallagher's best finishes in a major championship were a 3rd-place finish at the 1991 PGA Championship, and a T-2 at the same tournament the following year. Johnny Ray Huston (born June 1, 1961) is an American professional golfer who won seven PGA Tour events and currently plays on the Champions Tour. Early life Huston was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He attended Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and was a member of the golf team. Professional career Huston turned professional in 1983. Charles Henry "Chip" Beck (born September 12, 1956) is an American golfer who was a three-time All-American at the University of Georgia. He has four victories on the PGA Tour and twenty runner-up finishes. He spent 40 weeks in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings between 1988 and 1989. William Fred Mayfair (born August 6, 1966) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Early years and amateur career Mayfair was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Edward Matthew "Doc" Dougherty (born November 4, 1947) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour. Dougherty was born in Chester, Pennsylvania. He was drafted into the Army after high school and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Dougherty developed a serious interest in golf while stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington after returning from Southeast Asia. He turned pro in 1969.
