Jhoom (album)
Jhoom () is the third album of Pakistani pop singer Ali Zafar, released in 2011 by YRF Music in India, Pakistan and worldwide. It contains Sufi-pop music, remastered in Abbey Road Studios. The album topped the music charts in Pakistan, as well as in India for several weeks after its release. Ali Zafar
Ali Zafar ( pa, ; born 18 May 1980) is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, model, actor, producer, screenwriter and painter. Zafar started out on Pakistani television before becoming a popular musician. He later also established a career in Bollywood and his success led many Pakistani actors to venture into Hindi films. He has received five Lux Style Awards and a Filmfare Award nomination. Zafar started his career as a music composer and gained popularity with his single "Channo" from his debut album '' Huqa Pani'', which sold over five million copies worldwide. Ghazal
The ''ghazal'' ( ar, غَزَل, bn, গজল, Hindi-Urdu: /, fa, غزل, az, qəzəl, tr, gazel, tm, gazal, uz, gʻazal, gu, ગઝલ) is a form of amatory poem or ode, originating in Arabic poetry. A ghazal may be understood as a poetic expression of both the pain of loss or separation and the beauty of love in spite of that pain. The ghazal form is ancient, tracing its origins to 7th-century Arabic poetry. The ghazal spread into South Asia in the 12th century due to the influence of Sufi mystics and the courts of the new Islamic Sultanate, and is now most prominently a form of poetry of many languages of the Indian subcontinent and Turkey. Coke Studio Pakistan (Season 2)
The second season of the Pakistani music television series ''Coke Studio'' commenced airing on 14 June 2009 and ended on 14 August 2009 on Independence Day. The second series of ''Coke Studio'' included notable differences from the first series, including the fact that the live audiences were excluded. The 4th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best of Hindi music from the year 2011. The Lux Style Awards is an award ceremony held annually in Pakistan since 2002. The awards celebrate "style" in the Pakistani entertainment industry, and it is the oldest event dedicated to cinema, television, fashion, music and film industry in Pakistan. Dhol (IPA: ) can refer to any one of a number of similar types of double-headed drum widely used, with regional variations, throughout the Indian subcontinent. Muhammad Juman
Ustad Muhammad Juman ( sd, استاد محمد جمن) (10 October 1935 – 24 January 1990) was a Sindhi musician and classical singer from Pakistan, whose impact on Sindhi music is still pervasive. Early life and career Muhammad Juman was born on 10 October 1935 in the village of Sorra, located in the Lasbela District of Balochistan, to a musician, Haji Ahmed Sakhirani of Sakhirani clan. It was only natural that he became fond of music from his childhood years. Rohail Hyatt (Urdu: روحیل حیات) is a Pakistani record producer, Synthesizer, keyboardist, and Music composer, composer.
