11th Lux Style Awards
The 2012 Lux Style Awards, officially known as the 11th Lux Style Awards ceremony, presented by the Lux Style Awards honors the best films of 2011 and took place between 14 and 16 February 2012. This year, the city of Pakistan played host to the Pakistani Film Industry. The official ceremony took place on 16 February 2012, at the Expo Centre, in Karachi. During the ceremony, The lux Style Awards were awarded in 27 competitive categories. The ceremony was televised in Pakistan and internationally on ARY Digital. Actor Reema Khan hosted the ceremony. Background The Lux Style Awards is an award ceremony held annually in Pakistan since 2002. Karachi Expo Centre
Karachi Expo Center is the convention center where Pakistani products are showcased internationally. The center consists of 8 halls. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan also helps support the exhibitions at the center. IDEAS exhibition Pakistani military arms and equipment exhibitions are held under the theme 'IDEAS' (International Defence Exhibition and Seminar). This is a four-day exhibition. Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga
''Kis Din mera Viyah Howay Ga'' (meaning, "When will I get married?") is a Pakistani sitcom series first aired on Geo TV in August 2011. The series was first directed by Muhammad Iftikhar Iffi and starred Faisal Qureshi, Aijaz Aslam, Jana Malik, and Sangeeta. The plot revolves around the Chaudhary family who live in a mansion together in a small village near Lahore, Pakistan. Much of the humor centers around the character Sheeda who disguises himself as a girl named Sheedo to hide from his former gang members, and to protect himself from being arrested. ''Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga'' went off the air 15 September 2011, and returned for a second season in late July 2012. Savera Nadeem ( pa, ) is a Pakistani actress, producer and director. Primarily known for her work in television, she also acted in theatre and films. Nadeem is the recipient of a Lux Style Award for Best Television Actress out of five nominations. Early life Savera Nadeem was born in 1974 to Kashmiri family in Lahore. ''Roag'' is a Pakistani television drama series produced by Babar Javed and Asif Raza Mir under the banner of A&B Entertainment. It was directed by Javed, and was written by Faiza Iftikhar, whose novel of the same name it was based on. It premiered on ARY Digital on 16 April 2011. It revolves around the struggle of a family who suffers a lot as one of the children was abused sexually.
