Jetzt Anders! was an Austrian band, put together by the Austrian casting show '' Starmania''. Their music style is a mix of soul, pop and rock. They wanted to call the band ''Jetzt!'' ("Now!"), but there were already two other bands in Austria with that name, so they called the band ''Jetzt Anders!'' ("Now Different!"). Band member Tom Neuwirth would go on to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 as his drag persona Conchita Wurst. Falco De Jong Luneau
Falco (De Jong) Luneau (7 August 1984) is an Austrian-Dutch singer-songwriter. He is best known for his 2006 participation in the Austrian version of ''American Idol'', '' Starmania'' and his subsequent formation of the boyband “jetzt anders!” with several other participants, notably Tom Neuwirth, who in his Conchita Wurst persona won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Conchita Wurst
Thomas Neuwirth (born 6 November 1988) is an Austrian singer and drag queen who is known for his stage persona Conchita Wurst (or simply Conchita). Neuwirth came to international attention after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 as with the song "Rise Like a Phoenix". Neuwirth has stated that he is not a trans woman. He is gay, and has also described himself as a drag queen. He uses she/her pronouns to describe his Conchita Wurst character, but he/him pronouns when referring to himself. Starmania (TV Series)
''Starmania'' is an Austrian casting show/talent show for would-be pop stars. It is broadcast on the Austrian TV channel ORF 1. Despite striking similarities, ''Starmania'' is not a licensed version of the '' Idols'' format distributed by FremantleMedia. Attempts to export the format to Germany failed due to legal intervention from Fremantle. In 2004, ORF managed to sell the rights to the Swiss channel SF, where the show is called ''MusicStar''. From 2003 to 2009, four seasons of ''Starmania'' have been aired in Austria. To date, the winners have been Michael Tschuggnall, Verena Pötzl, Nadine Beiler and Oliver Wimmer.
