Jesko
Jesko or Jesco is a male given name, which is used among Slavs and in Germany. It is a short form of Jaromir or Jaroslaw and may mean "the peaceful one", "the brave one", "the proud one" or "the soldierly one". There may be a link with the name of Polish ruler Mieszko I of Poland. Like many traditional names ending with -ko such as Aiko, the name Jesko is somewhat associated with the gentry in Germany, but also used by other families. It is popular in the "von Puttkammer" family. Because it is an old name it is used in the more traditional minded population and is rare among the general population. The Koenigsegg Jesko is a limited production mid-engine sports car produced by Swedish automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg. Introduced at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the car succeeds the Agera. The name ''Jesko'' is a tribute to the company founder's father, Jesko von Koenigsegg. Specifications Engine The engine is a development of the 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine used in the Agera. It has four valves per cylinder each with a bore and stroke of and a compression ratio of 8.6:1. The engine has a power output of at 7800 rpm and of torque at 2700 to 6170 rpm on normal gasoline and has a power output of and of torque at 5,100 rpm on E85 biofuel. Changes from the Agera's engine include the use of a new 180-degree flat-plane crankshaft that saves and increases the redline from 8,250 rpm to 8,500 rpm. Jesko Friedrich (born 2 April 1974 in Gießen) is a German comedy television actor and writer. Early life and career Friedrich grew up in Lübeck and has a doctorate in German studies at the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen. Friedrich started writing jokes for the show ''Freitag Nacht News'' ("Friday Night News"). Since 2001, Friedrich worked at the Norddeutscher Rundfunk, mostly as a writer, producer, and actor for the satire show ''Extra 3'', and for other comedy shows. Beginning in 2003, together with Dennis Kaupp, he developed the recurring show segment ''Johannes Schlüter''. Jesko Raffin (born 12 June 1996) is a Swiss motorcycle racer. He was the FIM CEV Moto2 champion in 2014 and 2018. Jesco Hans Heinrich Max Freiherr von Puttkamer () was a German-American aerospace engineer, senior manager at NASA, and a pulp science fiction writer. He was an advocate of human space exploration, and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI). While at NASA, he served as the program manager in charge of long-range planning of deep space crewed activities (flights beyond Earth orbit). He was regarded as an expert on the Russian space program. Puttkamer assisted with daily on-orbit operations at NASA from 2009 until 2012. His was given the nickname ''Jessie'' by DeForest Kelley, whom Puttkammer called ''Dee''. He died of a sudden flu-like illness on 27 December 2012.
