Jerry Kobza
Jerry Kobza (born March 18, 1969) is a USAC and CRSA driver in the open-wheel ranks of racing, collecting a handful of championships. In 1999, he made his only career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start, which came for Team Racing at Memphis Motorsports Park. He qualified the truck in 34th position, but ended in 35th place with engine problems. O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 (I-70)
I-70 Motorsports Park, formally known as I-70 Speedway, is a multi-purpose motorsports facility near Interstate 70 east of Odessa, Missouri, Odessa, Missouri, United States, USA. The track, first opened in 1969, was open yearly until its closure in 2008. After more than a decade of being left effectively abandoned, I-70 Motorsports Park reopened in April 2021 under new ownership, after a resurfacing of the asphalt track to a 3/8 mile dirt track and adding a newly constructed 1/4 mile dragstrip. History The track was built and opened by Bill Roberts and other partners in 1969. Roberts had previously built and owned the Kansas City International Raceway dragstrip in Kansas City, Missouri. Roberts sold I-70 Speedway to Greg Weld (of WELD wheels) sometime in the late 1970s or early 1980s (?). Weld turned the track into a dirt track. The O'Reilly Auto Parts 275 was a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race held at the Heartland Park Topeka road course, in Topeka, Kansas. It was first held during the inaugural season for the Craftsman Truck Series in 1995 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, 1995, and remained a part of the series through the 1999 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, 1999 season. The race date fluctuated, being run in June, July, and August over the course of its existence. Unlike most NASCAR races, the advertised distance of the race was measured in kilometers as opposed to miles and changed distance several times in its history. History The first race at Topeka was held on July 29, 1995 and was won by Ron Hornaday Jr. in the No. 16 Chevrolet for Dale Earnhardt, Inc., who started from the pole position and led all but two laps of the 175-kilometer (109 mi) sponsorless race. The Toyota 200 presented by CK Power is a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (formerly Gateway Motorsports Park). The race has been held each year since 1998 except for 2011, 2012 and 2013. The track closed after the 2010 race, reopened in 2012 under new ownership, and the race returned to the schedule in 2014. Race history Rick Carelli won the first truck race at Gateway. A year later Greg Biffle won the first night race for the series at Gateway. In 2000, the race date was moved to May, and the time of race was once again day. Jack Sprague not only won that race, but holds the average speed record for the event to this day. A year later Ted Musgrave won the event after showers moved the race back into the evening. In 2004, the NASCAR Craftsman truck was using its version of the green-white-checkered rule, which stated that every race must end under green, for the last time.
