Jerry Kobza (born March 18, 1969) is a USAC and CRSA driver in the open-wheel ranks of racing, collecting a handful of championships. In 1999, he made his only career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start, which came for Team Racing at Memphis Motorsports Park. He qualified the truck in 34th position, but ended in 35th place with engine problems. I-70 Motorsports Park, formally known as I-70 Speedway, is a multi-purpose motorsports facility near Interstate 70 east of Odessa, Missouri, Odessa, Missouri, United States, USA. The track, first opened in 1969, was open yearly until its closure in 2008. After more than a decade of being left effectively abandoned, I-70 Motorsports Park reopened in April 2021 under new ownership, after a resurfacing of the asphalt track to a 3/8 mile dirt track and adding a newly constructed 1/4 mile dragstrip. History The track was built and opened by Bill Roberts and other partners in 1969. Roberts had previously built and owned the Kansas City International Raceway dragstrip in Kansas City, Missouri. Roberts sold I-70 Speedway to Greg Weld (of WELD wheels) sometime in the late 1970s or early 1980s (?). Weld turned the track into a dirt track. The Toyota 200 presented by CK Power is a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (formerly Gateway Motorsports Park). The race has been held each year since 1998 except for 2011, 2012 and 2013. The track closed after the 2010 race, reopened in 2012 under new ownership, and the race returned to the schedule in 2014. Race history Rick Carelli won the first truck race at Gateway. A year later Greg Biffle won the first night race for the series at Gateway. The United Rentals 176 at The Glen was a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series racing event at the Watkins Glen International road racing, road course in Watkins Glen, New York. The race was introduced in 1996 as part of a Truck Series schedule expansion, and the inaugural running was won by Ron Hornaday Jr. Being on a road course, the race attracted road course ringers with road racing experience that included Ron Fellows, who won twice in 1997 and 1999. It was removed from the calendar in 2000 due to scheduling conflicts, but was re-added in 2021 as the Truck Series' final race before the NASCAR playoffs.
