Jeremy Stine
Jeremy Stine (born July 10, 1980) is an American businessman and politician who is a member of the Louisiana State Senate for the 27th district. Early life and education Stine was born on July 10, 1980 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The Stine family is the owner of the Stine Lumber business, and Theresa Schmidt of KPLC describes the family as "well-known." Stine graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in political science and French. Career Stine was part of the first French language immersion program launched by the Council for the Development of French in Louisiana. Stine has previously worked as a legislative aide. Stine is the marketing director of his family's business, Stine Lumber, and serves as the president of the Alliance for Positive Growth. Louisiana's 27th State Senate district is one of 39 districts in the Louisiana State Senate. It has been represented by Republican Jeremy Stine since 2021. Geography District 27 is primarily based in Lake Charles in Calcasieu Parish, taking in nearly the entire city proper as well as the suburban towns of Westlake, Moss Bluff, Prien, Carlyss, and Sulphur. Ronnie Johns (politician)
Ronnie Johns is an American politician from the state of Louisiana. A Republican, Johns represented the 27th district of the Louisiana State Senate, based in Lake Charles, from 2012 until 2021, when he accepted the position of chairman of the state's gaming control board. Johns previously represented the 33rd district of the Louisiana House of Representatives from 1996 until 2008. Career Johns was a member of the Sulphur City Council from 1978 until 1982. In 1995, he was elected to the 33rd district of the Louisiana House of Representatives, where he served until 2008. In 2011, Johns announced he would run for the 27th district of the Louisiana State Senate. He was elected without opposition, and was re-elected in 2015 and 2019. The Louisiana State Senate (french: Sénat de Louisiane) is the upper house of the state legislature of Louisiana. All senators serve four-year terms and are assigned to multiple committees. Composition The Louisiana State Senate is composed of 39 senators elected from single-member districts from across the state of Louisiana by the electors thereof. KPLC (channel 7) is a television station in Lake Charles, Louisiana, United States, affiliated with NBC and The CW Plus. It is owned by Gray Television, which provides certain services to dual Fox/ABC affiliate KVHP (channel 29) under a shared services agreement (SSA) with American Spirit Media. Both stations share studios on Division Street in downtown Lake Charles, while KPLC's transmitter is located near Fenton, Louisiana. History KPLC-TV signed on September 29, 1954 with NBC's airing of the 1954 World Series. Owner T. B. John Bel Edwards
John Bel Edwards (born September 16, 1966) is an American politician and attorney serving as the 56th governor of Louisiana since 2016.
