Jeremy Harty
Jeremy Harty (born May 22, 1995) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. He currently plays third for Team Aaron Sluchinski. Career Harty competed in the 2016 Alberta Junior Curling Championships with his team of Kyler Kleibrink, Joel Berger and Gregg Hamilton. The team went undefeated until the final where they lost to the Karsten Sturmay rink 7–4. The next season, the team aged out of juniors and competed in their first provincial championship. In the triple knockout format of the 2017 Boston Pizza Cup, the team finished 3–3, being knocked out by eventual runner-up Ted Appelman. Team Harty returned to the provincial championship the following season at the 2018 Boston Pizza Cup, this time going 2–3 and being knocked out by Thomas Usselman. During the 2018–19 season, Harty won his first World Curling Tour event at the McKee Homes Fall Curling Classic with teammates Kyler Kleibrink, Joel Berger and Kurtis Goller. Nanton, Alberta
Nanton is a town in southern Alberta, Canada. Nanton was named after Sir Augustus Meredith Nanton of Winnipeg (1860–1925) who directed firms which offered financing for farms and ranches throughout the west. It is located south of Calgary at the junction of Highway 2 and Highway 533. Nanton was historically known as "Tap Town", after providing passing motorists with free water supplied from the foothills via a stand tap on the northbound highway. This water was one of the first to be bottled and sold in Canada, resulting in the creation of Nanton Water & Soda Ltd, still a thriving business in the town today. The 2020 Alberta Boston Pizza Cup presented by Best Western, the provincial men's curling championship for Alberta, was held from February 5 to 9 at the Westlock Curling Club in Westlock, Alberta. The winning Brendan Bottcher rink represented Alberta at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier in Kingston, Ontario. Kevin Koe
Kevin Koe ( ; born January 11, 1975) is a Canadian curler. Koe is a two-time World champion and four-time Canadian champion. He was the skip of the Canadian men's team at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Originally from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, he now resides in Calgary, Alberta and curls out of The Glencoe Club. He learned to curl at the age of six in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. Career Junior career After several trips to the territorial junior men's curling championships, Koe finally won in 1994. This earned him the right to skip the Northwest Territories/Yukon team at the 1994 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. He led the team, which consisted of his brother Jamie at third, second Mark Whitehead and lead Kevin Whitehead to an 8–3 round robin record, in a three-way tie for first. Kurtis Goller
Kurtis Goller (born March 7, 1997) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. Career In 2015, Goller represented Alberta at the 2015 Canada Winter Games, playing second for the Owen Goerzen rink. The team went 2–3 through the round robin before losing to Prince Edward Island in a tiebreaker, eliminating them from contention. Goller won the Alberta Junior Curling Championships in 2017 with his team of Colton Goller at skip, Tyler Lautner at third and Nicholas Rabl at lead. This qualified the team to represent Alberta at the 2017 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, held January 21–29 in Esquimalt, British Columbia. After going 4–2 through the round robin, the team went 2–5 in the championship pool, finishing the event in seventh place. After taking the next season off, Goller joined the Jeremy Harty rink at lead for the 2018–19 season. The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. Teams earned points in every event with the top 30 qualifying for the season ending " V.O. Cup", today known as the Players' Championship. Its first president and CEO was Lukowich.
