Jennifer Teege
Jennifer Teege (born 29 June 1970) is a German writer. Her maternal grandfather was German Nazi concentration camp commander and war criminal Amon Göth. Her 2015 book '' My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me: A Black Woman Discovers Her Family's Nazi Past'' was a ''New York Times'' bestseller. Life Teege, who was born Jennifer Göth to a Nigerian father and an Austrian-German mother, grew up in foster care. She was adopted at the age of seven. Her grandmother was , who had a two-year relationship with Amon Göth until the end of the Second World War, and with whom she had a daughter, , who was born in November 1945 and whom he never met. Teege studied at the Sorbonne, and learned Hebrew in Israel where she studied for five years. Major Depressive Disorder
Major depressive disorder (MDD), also known as clinical depression, is a mental disorder characterized by at least two weeks of pervasive low mood, low self-esteem, and loss of interest or pleasure in normally enjoyable activities. Introduced by a group of US clinicians in the mid-1970s, the term was adopted by the American Psychiatric Association for this symptom cluster under mood disorders in the 1980 version of the ''Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders'' (DSM-III), and has become widely used since. The diagnosis of major depressive disorder is based on the person's reported experiences, behavior reported by relatives or friends, and a mental status examination. ''Inheritance'' is a 2006 American documentary film about , also known as Monika Christiane Knauss, the daughter of and Amon Göth, commandant of the Płaszów concentration camp. Monika Hertwig was 10 months old when her father was hanged in 1946 for war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. She discovered the truth about him only as a young adult, because her own mother told her in childhood that he was a good man and a war hero. The film centers around her meeting a Holocaust survivor, Helen Jonas-Rosenzweig, who was interned at Płaszów and personally knew Göth.
