Jemina Pearl
Jemina Pearl Abegg (born June 20, 1987) is an American singer and the frontwoman of Be Your Own Pet, a punk rock band she started when she was 16. She appeared in the television series ''Gossip Girl (TV series), Gossip Girl'', in a musical performance with Thurston Moore, covering the Ramones classic "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker". Her debut solo album, ''Break It Up (Jemina Pearl album), Break It Up'', was released on October 6, 2009. The album, co-written by John Eatherly, was released on Ecstatic Peace, and features guest appearances by Thurston Moore, Iggy Pop, Dave Sitek, and Derek Stanton of Awesome Color. She is the daughter of musician/artist Jimmy Abegg. From 2012 to 2013, she was part of a band called Ultras S/C with The Immortal Lee County Killers, Chetley "Cheetah" Weise and Soledad Brothers (band), Ben Swank, which opened for The Black Belles in November 2011. Iggy Pop
James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born April 21, 1947), known professionally as Iggy Pop, is an American singer, musician, songwriter and actor. Called the " Godfather of Punk", he was the vocalist and lyricist of proto-punk band The Stooges, who were formed in 1967 and have disbanded and reunited many times since. Initially playing a raw, primitive style of rock and roll (progressing later towards more experimental and aggressive rock), the Stooges sold few records in their original incarnation and gained a reputation for their confrontational performances, which often involved acts of self-mutilation by Pop. He had a long collaborative relationship and friendship with David Bowie over the course of his career, beginning with the Stooges' album '' Raw Power'' in 1973. The Black Belles is an American all-female "garage goth" rock band formed in Nashville in 2009. The band consist of Olivia Jean (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Ruby Rogers (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Shelby Lynne (drums, backing vocals). Soledad Brothers were an American garage rock trio from Maumee, Ohio. Taking strong influence from blues rock, the band consisted of Ben Swank on drums, Johnny Walker on guitar and vocals, and Oliver Henry (formerly of The Greenhornes and who was recruited just before the release of their second album) on sax and guitar. The band produced four albums: ''Soledad Brothers'' (2000), ''Steal Your Soul and Dare Your Spirit to Move'' (2002), ''Voice of Treason'' (2003), and ''The Hardest Walk'' (2006). The Immortal Lee County Killers
The Immortal Lee County Killers (ILCK) were an American rock band from Auburn, Lee County, Alabama. Playing in the punk blues style, as well as garage punk, the band consisted of Chetley "Cheetah" Weise on vocals/guitar, plus assorted musicians over its roughly three incarnations. Weise had formerly fronted The Quadrajets. ILCK formed in late 1999 and dissolved in 2007, just as it was gaining underground popularity. These incarnations were known sequentially as ILCK I, ILCK II, and ILCK III, and recorded three full-length albums and several singles. Musical style Chet Weise is an enthusiastic and avid proponent of the often-underground punk blues style. The Immortal Lee County Killers has been called "Truly the place where punk meets the blues."
