Jellabies
Jellabies (also known as Jellikins or The Jellies) is an Australian-British children's animated television series that aired on the Australian television network ABC Kids from 18 May 1998 until 2003. It was also shown in Germany, ( Super RTL), U.S. ( Fox Family Channel, now Freeform), The Netherlands (Kindernet), France ( TF! Jeunesse), and the United Kingdom (GMTV). The target audience is for children ages two to six. It was one of the first fully CGI-animated series in the world. Format The program was conceived and developed in Worcestershire, UK by Jonny Lewis, a 3d artist/animator and Optical Image Ltd, a small TV/video editing house, using CGI animation. The show was narrated by Rik Mayall. The Jellabies are jelly-made children that live in the Jolly Jelly World, which is the magical land at the end of the rainbow, where their first job is to make rainbows. Rik Mayall
Richard Michael Mayall (7 March 1958 – 9 June 2014) was an English actor, stand-up comedian and writer. He formed a close partnership with Ade Edmondson while they were students at Manchester University and was a pioneer of alternative comedy in the 1980s. Mayall starred in numerous successful comedy series throughout his career, including '' The Young Ones'', '' The Comic Strip Presents...'', ''Blackadder'', ''Filthy Rich & Catflap'', ''The New Statesman'', ''Bottom'' and ''Believe Nothing''. Mayall also starred in the comedy films ''Drop Dead Fred'' and ''Guest House Paradiso''; he won a Primetime Emmy Award for his voice-over work in '' The Willows in Winter''. His comedic style was described as energetic "post-punk". Mayall died suddenly at his home in London on 9 June 2014 at the age of 56. Kindernet
Kindernet (as Nickelodeon Kindernet from 2011 to 2013) was a Dutch television network that aired classic and modern children's television series from the 1980s onward. Two iterations of the network have been broadcast; the original lasted from 1988 to 2003, while a Nickelodeon-branded revival launched 2011 and ended in 2013. History Original (1988–2003) Kindernet began as an idea by Dennis Livson, a Finnish producer and distributor of animated programmes in the 1970s. He believed that, at the time, children's programmes made for television were too violent for young viewers. He therefore started a network with so called "violence-free" cartoons. TFOU
TFOU () is a French children's television broadcast programming block on TF1. It was launched on 1 January 2007, replacing TF! Jeunesse (French for TF! Youth). TF! Jeunesse first appeared on Monday, September 1, 1997 at 4:30 in the afternoon on TF1, replacing Club Dorothée, with the first episode of Beetleborgs. TF! Jeunesse was created by Dominique Poussier, the director of children's television for TF1. It was hoped that this new show would distance itself from its predecessor, whose shows had often been accused by parents and the Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel (the Superior Audiovisual Council) of being too violent. Nickelodeon (Dutch TV Channel)
The Dutch version of Nickelodeon, broadcasting free-to-cable in the Netherlands and through satellite in Belgium, and launched on 14 July 2003. In addition to the general Nickelodeon programmes, original productions such as ''ZOOP'', ''Het Huis Anubis'', and ''SuperNick'' are also broadcast.
