Jeff Porter (politician)
Jeff Porter is an American businessman and politician from the state of Missouri. A Republican Party (United States), Republican, Porter was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives from the 42nd District in 2018. Having succeeded Bart Korman, who was term limited, he represented Montgomery County, Missouri, Montgomery County and adjacent portions of Warren County, Missouri, Warren and St. Charles County, Missouri, Saint Charles counties. In 2022, Porter ran for state senate from District 10, though lost in the primary to Travis Fitzwater. He was succeeded in the house by Jeff Myers. Porter was previously the mayor of Montgomery City, Missouri, Montgomery City for 15 years. He is also a local insurance and real estate agent. Bart Korman is an American businessman and politician from the state of Missouri. A Republican Party (United States), Republican, he is a former member of the Missouri House of Representatives, first elected from what was then Missouri's 99th District in November 2010, and re-elected each two years through 2016 from the 42nd District, unopposed except in 2014. Korman represented Montgomery County, Missouri, Montgomery County and adjacent portions of Warren County, Missouri, Warren and St. Charles County, Missouri, Saint Charles counties. He was term-limited in 2018 and Republican Jeff Porter was elected to succeed him. Korman works as a surveying, land surveyor and engineer, and is an Auction#Auctioneer, auctioneer for his family's auction business. Warren County is a county located in the eastern portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the population was 32,513. The county is located on the north side of the Missouri River. Its county seat is Warrenton. The county was organized on January 5, 1833; it was named for General Joseph Warren, who died in the Battle of Bunker Hill during the American Revolutionary War.
