Jeff Jordan (painter)
Jeff Jordan is an American painter in Eureka, California. He is best known for the artwork he has provided for rock band The Mars Volta. His painting ''Big Mutant'' serves as the cover artwork for the album ''Amputechture'' by The Mars Volta, and his painting ''Dwarf Dancing'' is printed on the CD face and LP labels of the same album. His painting ''Agadez'' serves as the cover art for The Mars Volta's fourth studio album, ''The Bedlam in Goliath'', and it is also the name of the eighth track on the same album. The band's fifth studio album, ''Octahedron'', features Jordan's artwork on the front and back covers as well as throughout the LP packaging. He has also created t-shirts and live backdrops for the band. Volition (Protest The Hero Album)
''Volition'' is the fourth studio album by Canadian progressive metal band Protest the Hero released on October 29, 2013 through Razor & Tie. It is the band's first album not to be released through Underground Operations or with any financial backing of label support. Instead, the entire album was funded by their fans via an Indiegogo campaign, where they met and exceeded their goal of $125,000 CAD. It is the first album of the band to not feature its original lineup, it features Chris Adler from Lamb of God on drums after the departure of founding member Moe Carlson, who left the band prior to the recording process. It is also the band's last album with bassist Arif Mirabdolbaghi. On October 16, due to the album being leaked, the band released the content early to contributors of their IndieGoGo campaign. ''Tales from the Grave in Space'' is the third studio album by Irish thrash metal band Gama Bomb, and one of the first albums ever to be released as a free download by a signed band. "Wax Simulacra" is a single from the album '' The Bedlam in Goliath'' by The Mars Volta. The single debuted on November 18, 2007, on San Francisco's Live 105 FM. It was previously played live by the band under the name "Idle Tooth". The B-side "Pulled to Bits" is a cover of a Siouxsie and the Banshees song. On October 19, 2007, a promotional video for the single was released via the Universal Music Group web site.
