Jeffrey Lloyd Douglas (born June 8, 1971) is a Canadian actor and broadcaster, best known as the cohost of CBC Radio One's daily news program ''As It Happens'' from 2011 to 2019. He has hosted the mainland Nova Scotia afternoon show "Mainstreet" since June 2019. Early life Douglas was born in Truro, Nova Scotia. Truro (Mi'kmaq: ''Wagobagitik''; Scottish Gaelic: ''Truru'') is a town in central Nova Scotia, Canada.
