Jeff Donaldson (American Football)
Jeffery Michael Donaldson (born April 19, 1962 in Fort Collins, Colorado) is a former defensive back for the Houston Oilers (1984–1989), the Kansas City Chiefs (1990) and the Atlanta Falcons (1991–1993). In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs. In gridiron football, a punt is a kick performed by dropping the ball from the hands and then kicking the ball before it hits the ground. The most common use of this tactic is to punt the ball downfield to the opposing team, usually on the final down, with the hope of giving the receiving team a field position that is more advantageous to the kicking team when possession changes.
