Jeff Angell (born Jefferson Alan Angell, nicknamed "Junior" and "JdoubleA", on February 13, 1973, in Tacoma, Washington) is an American musician, best known for his songwriting, lead vocals and guitar playing in the Seattle, Washington bands Post Stardom Depression, The Missionary Position and Walking Papers. Tacoma ( ) is the county seat of Pierce County, Washington, United States. Jack Endino
Jack Endino (born Michael M. Giacondino; 1964) is an American producer and musician based in Seattle, Washington. Long associated with Seattle label Sub Pop and the grunge movement, Endino worked on seminal albums from bands including Mudhoney, Soundgarden and Nirvana. He was also the guitarist for Seattle band Skin Yard, which was active between 1985 and 1992. Endino currently manages a studio in Seattle called Soundhouse Recording. Early career In 1985, Endino and Daniel House started the influential grunge band Skin Yard. Though originally a drummer, Endino played guitar and Matt Cameron played drums until he left for Soundgarden. Mad Season (band)
Mad Season was an American rock supergroup formed in 1994 as a side project of members of other bands in the Seattle grunge scene. The band's principal members included guitarist Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, lead singer Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, drummer Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees, and bassist John Baker Saunders. Mad Season released only one album, '' Above'', in March 1995. Its first single, "River of Deceit", was a radio success, and ''Above'' was certified a gold record by the RIAA in June. The band went on a semi-permanent hiatus in 1996 due to the band members' conflicting schedules and Staley's problems with substance abuse. Attempts were made in the late 1990s to revive the group without Staley, and material for a follow-up release to ''Above'' had been worked on; however, the band dissolved following the death of bassist John Baker Saunders in 1999 from a drug overdose. Screaming Trees
Screaming Trees was an American rock band formed in Ellensburg, Washington, in 1984 by vocalist Mark Lanegan, guitarist Gary Lee Conner, bass player Van Conner, and drummer Mark Pickerel. Pickerel had been replaced by Barrett Martin by the time the band reached its most successful period. Although widely associated with grunge, the band's sound incorporated hard rock and psychedelic elements. The band released seven studio albums, five EPs, and three compilations. Screaming Trees is known as one of the pioneers of grunge along with the Melvins, Mudhoney, U-Men, Skin Yard, Soundgarden, Green River, and Malfunkshun. Barrett Martin
Barrett Martin (born April 14, 1967) is an American record producer, percussionist, writer, and ethnomusicologist from Washington. As a producer he has won one Latin Grammy and has been nominated in two other categories. As an ethnomusicologist he has produced two albums for the Shipibo Shamans in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest, and one album for the Neets'ai Gwich'in in the Alaskan Arctic. He is perhaps best known for his work with the alternative rock bands Screaming Trees and Mad Season. He was also a member of Skin Yard, Tuatara (band), Tuatara, and Walking Papers (band), Walking Papers, and has performed as a session musician for many artists in a wide variety of genres. Benjamin Anderson (born January 28, 1974 in Tucson, Arizona) is an American musician and songwriter. His musical styles range from hard rock and industrial to electronic and Ambient Music. History Anderson was first introduced to music at an early age, singing and traveling in an all-boys choir. In high school he became inspired by artists such as The Cure, The Mission, and U2. This led him to pick up the guitar and later leave college, wandering to Denver, Colorado, where he recorded his first record as lead guitarist with the band Rorschach Test. The Black Halos are a Vancouver, British Columbia-based punk rock band. Their music also includes some glam rock. History The band was founded in 1993 by lead singer Billy Hopeless and guitarist Rich Jones, and at first, was called The Black Market Babies (not to be confused with the American band with the similar name).
