Jeanie With The Light Brown Hair (TV Series)
is a Japanese anime television series produced by Nippon Animation which ran for 52 episodes on TV Tokyo from October 1992 to September 1993. It is based on the 1854 song "Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair" by Stephen Foster. Outline This work depicts the childhood of the composer Stephen Foster and his wife Jane McDowell Foster Wiley. The original is the novel based the biography of Stephen Foster, written by Fumio Ishimori. Among music-themed anime, this work is an anime whose theme is not only ''music'' but also ''biography'', and depicts the childhood of a noted composer. However, the anime itself has almost nothing to do with the real Foster or his wife. It is one of companion volumes of the "World Masterpiece Theater", broadcast on TV Tokyo from 19:30 to 20:00 on Thursday. Keaton Yamada
is a Japanese former actor, voice actor and narrator from Mikasa, Hokkaidō. He switched from going by his real name, Shunji Yamada, to going by Keaton Yamada in the 1980s. Kinryū Arimoto
was a Japanese actor and voice actor formerly employed by Production Baobab. He also practiced kenpo, earning the black belt rank of shodan. Though his birth name was Yoshitaka, a kanji mistranslation led to his name being read as Kinryū, which stuck as his stage name. He died on February 1, 2019, aged 78 due to esophageal cancer. Toshiko Fujita
was a Japanese actress, voice actress, singer and narrator. She was affiliated with Aoni Production at the time of her death. Biography Since the age of 8 in 1958, Fujita worked in radio and television as an actress, singer and comedian. In addition, she also sang theme songs for anime such as the 1969 adaptation of ''Dororo''. She also dubbed several English-language films in Japanese, as well as lending her voice to anime, such as '' Ikkyū-san'' (Ikkyu), ''Kiteretsu Daihyakka'' (Kiteretsu ), ''Digimon Adventure'' ( Taichi Yagami), ''Fist of the North Star'' (Mamiya) and '' Cat's Eye'' (Rui Kisugi).
