Jean Denis (politician)
Jean Denis (10 November 1902 – 10 March 1992) was a Belgian politician and writer. Through his written work he was the chief ideologue of the Rexist movement. A native of Chastre-Villeroux-Blanmont in Walloon Brabant, Denis was educated to doctorate level.Philip Rees, ''Biographical Dictionary of the Extreme Right Since 1890'', 1990, p. 89 He first became involved in politics with the radical Catholic movements, serving as secretary to Monsignor Louis Picard. Chastre-Villeroux-Blanmont
Chastre (; wa, Tchåsse) is a French-speaking municipality in Belgium that is located in Wallonia, in the province of Walloon Brabant. Its name comes from the Gallo-Roman word ''castra'' "fortress, fortified camp", Jean-Jacques Jespers, ''Dictionnaire des noms de lieux en Wallonie et à Bruxelles'', Éditions Racine, 2005, from the Latin ''castra'' which is the plural form of ''castrum'' meaning "entrenchment, fortified place". Chastre is a rural and at the same time residential municipality, with 7,684 inhabitants. Chastre comprises seven former villages: Chastre, Villeroux, Blanmont, Cortil-Noirmont, Gentinnes and Saint-Géry. Chaumont-Gistoux
Chaumont-Gistoux (; wa, Tchåmont-Djistou) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. On 1 January 2006 Chaumont-Gistoux had a total population of 10,926. The total area is 48.09 km2 which gives a population density of 227 inhabitants per km2. It was formed from the fusion, in 1977, of Dion-Valmont (itself a fusion in 1971 of Dion-le-Val and Dion-le-Mont), Bonlez, Corroy-le-Grand, Longueville and Chaumont-Gistoux. The administrative offices are now in the village of Gistoux. It is a semi-rural municipality with several working farms, large areas given over to fields and forests, although there is a major industry of sand extraction, now mostly in decline. Due to this history there are now several haulage and construction firms based in the municipality.
