Jean-Paul Roy (born 14 August 1964 in Civray, Vienne) has been the bassist of French rock group Noir Désir since 1996. Before joining the band, he accompanied Noir Désir on tour as a guitar technician. Noir Désir (, "Black Desire") was a French rock band from Bordeaux. They were active during the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, and have had two albums certified double platinum in France and three certified gold. They have been an influence on numerous French musicians including Cali, Louise Attaque and Miossec. Alain Bashung (, born Alain Claude Baschung; 1 December 1947 – 14 March 2009) was a French singer, songwriter and actor. Romain Humeau (born 10 April 1971) is a French musician best known for being the lead singer of the French band Eiffel (band), Eiffel. Biography Romain was born on 10 April 1971 in Aix-en-Provence, France. He spent his early childhood in Nérac before leaving in 1978. His father was a harpsichord maker and his mother was a flutist. He started learning the violin at the age of 5. He studied music at the Conservatoire de Toulouse from 1989 to 1994. He is married to Eiffel band mate Estelle Humeau.
