Suraj Prakash
''Suraj Prakash'' (Gurmukhi: ਸੂਰਜ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ''lit.'' "The Light of the Sun"), also called ''Gur Partap Suraj Granth'' (Gurmukhi: ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸੂਰਜ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ), is a popular and monumental hagiographic text about Sikh Gurus written by Kavi Santokh Singh (1787–1843) and published in 1843 CE. It consists of life legends performed by Sikh Gurus and historic Sikhs such as Baba Banda Bahadur in 51,820 verses. According to Pashaura Singh – a scholar of Sikhism, the text freely borrows from prior mythical stories in Janamsakshis and older Sikh literature such as ''Bansavalinama'', ''Sikhan di Bhagat Mala'', and ''Mahima Prakash'', then embellishes it further. Jankidas
Jankidas Mehra (1910 – 18 June 2003) was an Indian actor of Hindi cinema, cyclist, production designer, and writer. He made over 1000 film appearances between the 1930s and 1997. Biography Sports Jankidas served as the only Indian member of the International Olympic Committee at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin along with Hockey legend Major Dhyanchand and was the only Indian to have broken the world record in cycling between 1934 and 1942. In the 1940s, along with Sohrab Bhoot, he founded the Cycling Federation of India. Films Jankidas debuted in films playing a major role in '' Khazanchi'' (1941), produced in Lahore. He was not seen again until 1946, when he would appear in '' Dr. Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani''. From then on he would continue to play roles with increasing vigour over the years. Subbiraj Kakkar popularly known as Subbiraj was an Indian character actor in Hindi-language films and television. Rajendra Nath Malhotra (8 June 1931 − 13 February 2008) was an Indian actor and comedian in Hindi and Punjabi films. Early life and family Rajendra Nath was born on 8 June 1931 in Tikamgarh, which is now in Madhya Pradesh. Moolchand was a prolific character actor in Hindi and Panjabi cinema, who was active from 1950 to his death in the late 1980s. He appeared in over 250 films. These films spanned the parallel cinema of Guru Dutt to the wrestler films of Dara Singh. He is known for his big stomach. The first known appearance of Moolchand is in 1950. He was often featured in the films of the directors Guru Dutt and Raj Kapoor, working on 6 of the former and 8 of the latter. Other actors he was often seen with were Dev Anand, B. R. Chopra, Dara Singh and I. S. Johar, who featured him in most of their movies. Most of Moolchand's early roles were small ones. He only began to get significant roles in the 1960s.
