Jaybee Sebastian
Jaybee Niño Manicad Sebastian (January 20, 1980 – July 18, 2020) ''Note: Pause at 1:11 for Sebastian's death certificate. If necessary, set the video for 1080p for clearer version.'' was a Filipino high-profile inmate interned at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) who was convicted for kidnap-for-ransom and carnapping in 2009. He was known for running a prison gang and was allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade within the prison. Criminal career Sebastian was arrested in the early 2000s for kidnapping and carnapping and was detained at the Manila City Jail pending a decision on criminal charges against him. Inside the Manila jail, he became involved with Sigue Sigue Commando and served as an overall advisor to the prison gang. After his conviction in 2009, he was transferred to the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa. The Inmates are a British pub rock band, which formed after the split of The Flying Tigers in 1977. In 1982, they had a medium-sized international hit with a cover of The Standells' "Dirty Water", and a UK Top 40 hit with their cover of Jimmy McCracklin's track, " The Walk". "Dirty Water" reached number 51 in the United States in January 1980. The song led directly to them recording their debut album, ''First Offence'', produced by Vic Maile for Radar Records. The New Bilibid Prison drug trafficking scandal is a criminal investigation and political scandal concerning allegations of government involvement in illegal drug trade at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, Philippines. The allegations were made by President Rodrigo Duterte after announcing that the two top convicted drug lords in the country continued to run their drug rings from inside the national penitentiary with former administration officials and their local government cohorts as co-conspirators.
