Jaya Sudha
Jayasudha Kapoor (born Sujatha Nidudavolu) is an Indian actress and politician known for her works predominantly in Telugu cinema. She has also worked in few Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi films. Known as natural actress, she received five state Nandi Awards for her acting in works such as '' Jyothi'' (1976), ''Idi Katha Kaadu'' (1979), '' Premabhishekam'' (1981), ''Meghasandesam'' (1982), and ''Dharmaatmudu'' (1983). She has garnered five Filmfare Awards South, for her performances in '' Jyothi'' (1976), ''Aame Katha'' (1977), ''Gruha Pravesam'' (1982), ''Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi'' (2004), and ''Kotha Bangaru Lokam'' (2008). In 2008, she received the ANR National Award, and in 2010, she won the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award - South for her contributions to Indian cinema. Idi Katha Kaadu
''Idi Katha Kaadu'' () is a 1979 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by K. Balachander starring Jayasudha, Kamal Haasan, Sarath Babu, Chiranjeevi, Saritha, and Rama Prabha. It is a remake of Balachander's own Tamil film '' Avargal'' (1977). Jayasudha reprised the role of Sujatha in the original. Kamal Haasan starred in the same role in both languages. This film also had Chiranjeevi as the villainous husband of Jayasudha (Rajinikanth starred as the husband in Tamil). The film was shot in Black and white. ''Kalahasti Mahatyam'' is a 1954 Indian Telugu-language film directed by H. L. N. Simha starring Dr. Rajkumar. This is the only non-Kannada film starring Dr. Rajkumar. It is a musical hit film with some melodious Bhakti songs written by Tholeti Venkata Reddy. The music score is provided by R. Sudarshanam and R. Goverdhanam as Associate. They are beautifully sung by Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, M. L. Vasantha Kumari, A.M. Raja and P. Susheela. Filmfare Awards South is the South Indian segment of the annual Filmfare Awards, presented by the Filmfare magazine of The Times Group to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Indian film industry encompassing four languages, namely, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. They were introduced in 1954, around the films released in 1952-53 and Filmfare Awards initially recognizing the Hindi film industry. In 1964 awards were extended in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi, around the films released in 1963. The inclusion of the Malayalam cinema in the awards came in 1967 while Kannada cinema was recognized in 1970.
