Jay Robinson
Jay Robinson (April 14, 1930 – September 27, 2013) was an American actor specializing in character roles. He achieved his greatest fame playing Emperor Caligula in the film ''The Robe'' (1953) and its sequel ''Demetrius and the Gladiators'' (1954), and years later portraying the boss of the character played by Warren Beatty in ''Shampoo'' (1975). Early life Robinson was born in New York City. His mother was a dancer; his father was a director of the Van Heusen Shirt Company. He became interested in acting after discovering a scrapbook of his mother's dance career. Career Robinson began his acting career in summer stock theatre and repertory companies, and eventually made his way to the Broadway stage, where he appeared in Shakespeare's ''As You Like It'' and ''Much Ado About Nothing'', as well as several other plays by the age of 19. The Krofft Supershow
''The Krofft Supershow'' was a Saturday morning children's variety show, produced by Sid and Marty Krofft. It aired for two seasons from September 11, 1976, to September 2, 1978, on ABC. Background The show was composed of several live-action segments, hosted by "Kaptain Kool and the Kongs", a rock band created for the series. The season-one (1976–1977) segments were " Dr. Shrinker", "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl", and "Wonderbug", plus reruns of ''The Lost Saucer'' for the first half of the season (they were dropped when the show was cut from 90 minutes to one hour). For season two (1977–1978), "Dr. Shrinker" and "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl" were dropped and replaced with "Bigfoot and Wildboy" and "Magic Mongo." ''As You Like It'' is a pastoral comedy by William Shakespeare believed to have been written in 1599 and first published in the First Folio in 1623. "Elaan of Troyius" is the thirteenth episode of the third season of the American science fiction television series '' Star Trek''.
