Javier Chirinos
Javier Ernesto Chirinos Ramírez (born 8 May 1960) is a retired Peruvian footballer and currently the manager of Cobresol in the Torneo Descentralizado. During his playing career as a midfielder, he most notably played for Atlético Chalaco and Universitario de Deportes. Playing career Club Chirinos made his Torneo Descentralizado debut in the 1978 season playing for Atlético Chalaco In January 1983 Chirinos moved to Peruvian giants Universitario de Deportes. International While playing for Universitario, Chirinos made his debut for the senior Peru national team in 1985. He made a total of 13 appearances for Peru that year. 2011 U-20 Copa Libertadores
The 2011 U-20 Copa Libertadores (known as the 2011 Copa Movistar Libertadores Sub-20 for sponsorship reasons) was the first edition of this U-20 club competition. Players born on or after 1 January 1990 were eligible to compete. The tournament was originally going to be hosted in November 2010, however, because of the postponement, players born in 1990 were allowed to play, otherwise only players born after 1 January 1991 would have been eligible. The Under-20 CONMEBOL Libertadores (Portuguese and Spanish: CONMEBOL Libertadores Sub-20) is the international association football club competition for teams that play in CONMEBOL leagues. The 1987 Torneo Descentralizado, the top tier of Peruvian football (soccer), was played by 30 teams. The season started in 1987 and ended in early 1988. The national champion was Universitario . The national championship was divided into two tournaments, the Regional Tournament and the Descentralized Tournament. The winners of each tournament faced off in the final and received the berths for the Copa Libertadores 1988. Universitario
Club Universitario de Deportes, popularly known as Universitario or simply as La "U", is a Peruvian football club located in Lima. The club was founded in 1924 under the name Federación Universitaria by students of the National University of San Marcos but was forced to rename in 1931. Since 1928, the club competes in the top tier of Peruvian football, the Torneo Descentralizado. Osvaldo José Piazza (born 6 April 1947) is an Argentine professional football manager and former player. In his playing days, he was a defender. Biography He arrived at AS Saint-Étienne, in 1972, replacing new coach Robert Herbin at fullback position. He was associated with Christian Lopez and had the habit to help the team offensively. He won many titles with AS Saint-Étienne. He was very popular at this time, and Bernard Sauvat wrote a song dedicated to him. The 2001 Torneo Descentralizado, was the 85th season of the top category of Peruvian football (soccer). It was played by 12 teams. The national champion was Alianza Lima. Competition modus The national championship was divided into two half-year tournaments, the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura. Each was played on a home-and-away round-robin basis. The winners of each tournament played for the national title in a two-legged final. Should the same team have won both tournaments, they would have been automatic champions. Qualification to CONMEBOL's Copa Libertadores was won by each tournament winner and the winner of a play-off between the teams that placed second in each tournament. The bottom team on the aggregate table was relegated, while the eleventh placed team played a relegation/promotion play-off against the winner of the Segunda División (Second Division).
