Jason Jones (singer)
Jason "Gong" Jones is an American musician, singer and songwriter. Originally a tattoo artist, he was the frontman and vocalist of rock band Drowning Pool from 2003 to 2005, providing vocals for the band's 2004 album '' Desensitized'' after Dave Williams's death. He is the lead vocalist with the band AM Conspiracy. He is currently also involved in a side project called ''Scumbag Allstars''. Career Drowning Pool: 2003–2005 In 2003, Jason Jones was recruited by Texas-based metal band Drowning Pool (at the time C. J. Pierce, Stevie Benton, and Mike Luce) after the loss of their original frontman Dave Williams, who died of a heart condition while on the Ozzfest tour in August 2002. Jones took the position as the band's frontman from 2003 to 2005. ''Desensitized'' is the second studio album by American rock band Drowning Pool. It was their first album since the death of vocalist Dave Williams as well as the only album to feature replacement vocalist Jason Jones. The album debuted at number 17 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. The album cover features porn star Jesse Jane. ''Desensitized'' shows less nu metal elements than Drowning Pool's previous album, '' Sinner''. Jones left the band soon after the album's release because of personal and musical differences. "Step Up” is the only song from ''Desensitized'' that is played live during today's performances. Derrick Leon Green (born January 20, 1971) is an American musician best known as the vocalist of Brazilian heavy metal band Sepultura. He joined the band in 1997 after the departure of band founder Max Cavalera. Early life Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Green is the youngest of three children; his sister Renée Green is an artist, writer, and filmmaker. Green's father, Friendly, an electrician, and mother, Gloria, a music teacher, moved the family from inner-city Cleveland to surbuban Shaker Heights when Green was 7. Max Cavalera
Massimiliano Antonio "Max" Cavalera (; born August 4, 1969) is a Brazilian musician. He co-founded the heavy metal band Sepultura in 1984 with his brother Igor Cavalera, and was the band's lead singer and rhythm guitarist until his departure in 1996. He currently plays in the heavy metal bands Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy and Killer Be Killed. Cavalera was also involved in a short-lived side project called Nailbomb. Life and career Max Cavalera's father, Graziano Cavalera, was an employee of the Italian Consulate in Belo Horizonte. He died at 41 years of age, when Max was nine years old. ''AM Conspiracy'' is the debut album by American Alternative metal band AM Conspiracy. It was recorded in early 2009 at Belle City Sound in Racine, Wisconsin with Chris Wisco, who plays bass in Novembers Doom. The first single off album, "Pictures", was mixed by Randy Staub, who has previously worked with Metallica, Nickelback, Alice in Chains and most recently Thousand Foot Krutch, among others. However, according to fmqb.com, the band released another song titled "Welt" as a digital single. Dino Cazares
Dino Cazares (born in 1966) is an American musician, known for being the guitarist and one of the co-founders of industrial metal band Fear Factory. He is also the co-founder of the metal bands Divine Heresy, Asesino, and Brujeria. Cazares popularized the use of digital amp modelling processors, as well as the use of seven and eight-string guitars in metal music. Career Cazares met singer Burton C. Bell in 1989 and started a group under the name Ulceration, which was renamed to their current name Fear Factory in the following year with Raymond Herrera on drums. The band's first album, ''Soul of a New Machine'', was dedicated to Cazares' mother, Natividad, and older brother, Joey.
