Jason A. Richardson
Jason Richardson (born 23 June 1969) is an Australian athlete turned radio presenter. In 1993, he won the Stawell Gift off the mark of 7.5 metres. Also won the 1992 'novice' 100m at Stawell, and followed his Gift win in 1993 with a win in the backmarkers 120m invitation in 1994 - one of only two athletes in the history of the Stawell Gift to win all three in successive years. His professional running career wins also include the 1996 British Professional 200m championship, plus wins in the Prahran & Smithton Gifts. He has also been placed in Australia's two other major Classic Gifts - the Bay Sheffield (SA) and Burnie Gift (Tas). Stawell Gift
The Stawell Gift is Australia's oldest and richest short-distance running race. It is the main event in an annual carnival held on Easter weekend by the Stawell Athletic Club, with the main race finals on the holiday Monday, at Central Park, Stawell, Victoria, Stawell in the Grampian Mountains (Australia), Grampian Mountains district of western Victoria, Australia, Victoria. the carnival encompasses events for both men and women of all ages and abilities, across distances from . Kate Suzanne Richardson (née Anderson; born 5 November 1973 in Melbourne, Victoria) is an Australian athlete, who represented her native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics and 2000 Summer Olympics in the women's 5000 metres making the Semi Finals. Richardson (née Anderson) was a finalist in the 1997 World Championship 5000m (Athens, Greece), and also represented Australia in the 1999 World Championships (Seville, Spain) plus numerous World Cross-Country Championships. In November 1999 she married fellow runner Jason A. Richardson. She is a two-time national champion in the women's 5000 metres and former Australian record holder over 1500m (breaking Jenny Orr's 20+ year record) and 5000m.
