Jarrod Skalde
Jarrod Skalde (born February 26, 1971) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and player who is a free agent. He was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario. From august 2022, he is the head coach of slovak ice hockey team Vlci Zilina in Tipos Slovenská hokejová liga. His goal for the 2022/2023 season is to promote with Žilina to Tipos extraliga. Playing career Junior hockey Skalde was drafted by the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in the first round, 15th overall in the 1987 OHL Priority Selection. In his rookie season with the Generals in 1987–88, Skalde scored 12 goals and 28 points in 60 games. In the post-season, Skalde scored two goals and three points in seven games. In 1988–89, Skalde improved offensively, scoring 38 goals and 76 points in 65 games to finish fourth on team scoring. Springfield Falcons
The Springfield Falcons were a former ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) and played in Springfield, Massachusetts, at the MassMutual Center. In 2016, the Falcons' franchise was purchased by the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Arizona Coyotes and relocated to Tucson, Arizona, before the start of the 2016–17 AHL season. Rob Pearson
Robert Gordon Pearson (born August 3, 1971) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL). Biography Pearson was born in Oshawa, Ontario. As a youth, he played in the 1984 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Oshawa. Pearson was drafted 12th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. He played in 269 career NHL games, scoring 56 goals and 54 assists for 110 points. Pearson also played for the St. Louis Blues and the Washington Capitals. On April 24, 2006, Pearson signed on as an assistant coach for the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Ridgebacks in Oshawa, Ontario, but later resigned from that position. Belleville Bulls
The Belleville Bulls were a junior ice hockey team, founded in 1981 and based in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. The team played in the Eastern Division of the Eastern Conference of the Ontario Hockey League. The team moved to Hamilton, Ontario at the end of the 2014–15 OHL season. History The Belleville Bulls started in 1979 as a Junior Tier II team in the OHA. In their second season in 1980–81, the Bulls won the Tier II title, defeating the Guelph Platers in the league finals. The 1990–91 OHL season was the 11th season of the Ontario Hockey League. Sixteen teams each played 66 games. The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds won the J. Ross Robertson Cup, defeating the Oshawa Generals. The Detroit Compuware Ambassadors are granted a franchise. Expansion/Realignment Detroit Compuware Ambassadors On December 11, 1989, the Detroit Compuware Ambassadors were approved to join the league for the 1990–91 season as an expansion team. The club was owned by former Windsor Compuware Spitfires owner Peter Karmanos. The club was the first American based team in the OHL, and would play in the city of Detroit. 1990 Memorial Cup
The 1990 Memorial Cup occurred May 5–13 at the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario. It was the 72nd annual Memorial Cup competition and determined the major junior ice hockey champion of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). Participating teams were the Ontario Hockey League champion Oshawa Generals and runner-up Kitchener Rangers, as well as the winners of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and Western Hockey League which were the Laval Titan and Kamloops Blazers. The original host team, the short-lived Dukes of Hamilton, were forced to drop out after only winning eleven games in the 1989–90 OHL season. Kitchener Rangers
The Kitchener Rangers are a major junior ice hockey team based in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. They are members of the Midwest Division of the Western Conference of the Ontario Hockey League.
