Janja ( Cyrillic: Јања) is a town in the municipality of Bijeljina, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Janja is located in the Podrinje region of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Janja is famous for the rivers Janja and Drina. It is the only Bosniak community in the Municipality and consists of many displaced persons from other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Rosângela Lula da Silva (born 27 August 1966), commonly known by her nickname Janja, is a Brazilian sociologist and the First Lady of Brazil as the wife of president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Biography Rosângela was born on 27 August 1966 in União da Vitória, state of Paraná. She moved to Curitiba during her childhood. Silva joined the Workers' Party in 1983. In 1990, she enrolled the studies of Social Science at the Federal University of Paraná and specialized in History in the same institution. Janja was hired by Itaipu Binacional on 1 January 2005; at the time, there were no civil service examinations, and she was hired through curriculum analysis and interview. Janja Kantakouzenos
Janja Kantakouzenos ( sr, Јања Кантакузиновић; after 1435 – September 1477) was a nobleman from the mine town of Novo Brdo (then Serbian Despotate) who had economic deals in the mining industry with the Ottoman Empire after their conquest of Serbia. He was a descendant of the Kantakouzenoi that settled in Serbia after the marriage between Despot Đurađ Branković and Irene Kantakouzene. Drina River
The Drina ( sr-Cyrl, Дрина, ) is a long Balkans river, which forms a large portion of the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. It is the longest tributary of the Sava River and the longest karst river in the Dinaric Alps which belongs to the Danube river watershed. Its name is derived from the Roman name of the river ( la, Drinus) which in turn is derived from Greek (Ancient Greek: ). Janja Lalich (b. 1945) is an American sociologist and writer. Lalich is best known as a foremost expert on cults and coercion, charismatic authority, power relations, ideology and social control. She is a professor emerita of sociology at the California State University, Chico. Early life and education The daughter of Serbian immigrants, Lalich was born in 1945. Lalich has a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California. Beginning in the 1970s, Lalich spent around ten years as part of a radical Marxist-Leninist group, the Democratic Workers Party in California. She later came to realize that the group was a cult. Zvornik
Zvornik ( sr-cyrl, Зворник, ) is a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in Republika Srpska, on the left bank of the Drina river. In 2013, it had a population of 58,856 inhabitants. The town of Mali Zvornik ("Little Zvornik") lies directly across the river in Serbia. Kula Grad, a village that is part of Zvornik municipality, has a Middle Age fort, Zvornik fortress, built in the 12th century.
