Johannes ("Jan") Hermannus van Dijk (born 10 December 1956 in Schalkhaar, Deventer, Overijssel) is a retired Dutch footballer and manager. He currently manages Hoofdklasse side Chevremont. Playing career Club Van Dijk is best known for having spent his entire career at FC Groningen, except for a short loan spell to Go Ahead Eagles. His stay with the club spanned from 1975 to 1992, and earned him the nickname "''Mister FC Groningen''", as well as the record for number of appearances with a Groningen jersey (537). Coaching career After he retired in 1992, Van Dijk became a football manager. He coached FC Groningen, Roda JC, RBC Roosendaal, Helmond Sport, and FC Emmen. He was fired from FC Emmen on 15 February 2007. After a season serving as Foeke Booy assistant at Al-Nassr, he was appointed manager of then-Eerste Divisie club VVV-Venlo in June 2008. Deventer (; Sallands: ) is a city and municipality in the Salland historical region of the province of Overijssel, Netherlands. In 2020, Deventer had a population of 100,913. The city is largely situated on the east bank of the river IJssel, but it also has a small part of its territory on the west bank. In 2005 the municipality of Bathmen (with a population of about 5,000 people) was merged with Deventer as part of a national effort to reduce bureaucracy in the country. The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. Dominique van Dijk (born 5 September 1979) is a Dutch retired footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Born in Groningen, Van Dijk came through the youth system of amateur side LTC Assen. He was picked up by FC Groningen at age 12, and made his first-team debut on 17 October 1998 against VVV-Venlo in the second division. He was signed by Cambuur Leeuwarden in summer 2001, making his debut in a 1–1 draw against HFC Haarlem in the Eerste Divisie on 17 August 2001. He signed for Eredivisie side RKC Waalwijk in May 2005. He made his debut in a 2–1 win against his former club FC Groningen. He signed for Sparta Rotterdam in the 2006 transfer window.
