Jan Zimmermann (football Manager)
Jan Zimmermann (born 5 October 1979) is a German football manager and former player who is currently in charge of Borussia Dortmund II. Playing career Zimmermann was a youth product of Bayer Leverkusen. He spent his playing career at Arminia Hannover, TSV Havelse, Borussia Mönchengladbach II, Carl Zeiss Jena, Eintracht Braunschweig, VfB Lübeck, SC Verl, 1. FC Wunstorf and Germania Egestorf/Langreder. Managerial career Germania Egestorf/Langreder Zimmermann started his managerial career in 2011 at Germania Egestorf/Langreder as a player-manager. In his seven years as manager, he led the club from the sixth-tier Landesliga Hannover to the fourth-tier Regionalliga Nord. 2016–17 DFB-Pokal
The 2016–17 DFB-Pokal was the 74th season of the annual German football cup competition. Sixty-four teams participated in the competition, including all teams from the previous year's Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It began on 19 August 2016 with the first of six rounds and ended on 27 May 2017 with the final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, a nominally neutral venue, which has hosted the final since 1985. Christian Preußer (born 23 January 1984) is a German Association football, football manager. Coaching career Preußer managed FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt, Rot-Weiß Erfurt's under-19 team before signing a contract to manage the senior team until mid-2015 on 24 March 2015. The contract was extended until 2016 on 21 April 2015. He was sacked on 15 December 2015. On 1 July 2016, Preußer was appointed manager of Oberliga Baden-Württemberg team SC Freiburg II. He achieved promotion to the Regionalliga Südwest in his first season and established the side as one of the top teams in the league. Under his reign more than 20 players from the second team made it into professional football. SV Werder Bremen II is the reserve team of SV Werder Bremen. It plays in Regionalliga, the fourth level of the German football league system, and has qualified for the first round of the DFB-Pokal on nineteen occasions. The 2020–21 Regionalliga was the 13th season of the Regionalliga, the ninth under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Format A new promotion format was decided on in 2019. From this season onward, the Regionalliga Südwest and West receive a fixed promotion spot.
