West Berlin
West Berlin (german: Berlin (West) or , ) was a political enclave which comprised the western part of Berlin during the years of the Cold War. Although West Berlin was de jure not part of West Germany, lacked any sovereignty, and was under military occupation until German reunification in 1990, the territory was claimed by the West Germany, Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) which was heavily disputed by the Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc countries. However, West Berlin de facto aligned itself politically with the FRG on 23 May 1949, was directly or indirectly represented in its federal institutions, and most of its residents were citizens of the FRG. West Berlin was formally controlled by the Western Allies and entirely surrounded by the Soviet Union, Soviet-controlled East Berlin and East Germany. West Berlin had great symbolic significance during the Cold War, as it was widely considered by westerners an "island of free world, freedom" and America's most loyal counterpa ...

Free University Of Berlin
The Free University of Berlin (, often abbreviated as FU Berlin or simply FU) is a public research university in Berlin, Germany. It is consistently ranked among Germany's best universities, with particular strengths in political science and the humanities. It is recognised as a leading university in international university rankings. The Free University of Berlin was founded in West Berlin in 1948 with American support during the early Cold War period as a Western continuation of the Friedrich Wilhelm University, or the University of Berlin, whose traditions and faculty members it retained. The Friedrich Wilhelm University (which was renamed the Humboldt University), being in East Berlin, faced strong communist repression; the Free University's name referred to West Berlin's status as part of the Western Free World, in contrast to communist-controlled East Berlin. In 2008, as part of a joint effort, the Free University of Berlin, along with the Hertie School of Governance, a ...

Auch (album)
''auch'' ("also") is the twelfth full-length studio album by German rock band Die Ärzte. It was released on 13 April 2012. For each song on the album, an animation and a performance video was released on YouTube. The B-sides of the singles also received a video (altogether 37 videos). The videos can also be bought in iTunes. The first single "zeiDverschwÄndung" was released on 2 March 2012. While a commercial success - the album reached the first position in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the first week after its release - critical reception of ''auch'' was generally mixed. Promoting and touring in support of the album led to personal tensions within the band that resulted in the Die Ärzte's second hiatus (which unlike their first one was unintended) that ended with the writing and recording of ''Hell'', released in 2020. Layout The layout was made by Felix Schlüter instead of the designer Schwarwel who designed for Die Ärzte since 1993. The package is a carton box ...

"Büffelherde", the main album, consists of rock songs and on "Ponyhof", Farin experiments with reggae and ska songs. ''Endlich Urlaub!'' is the first solo album from the German musician Farin Urlaub (guitarist of Die Ärzte), released in 2001. It features the typical humour and overall music style fans of Die Ärzte are used to but is more diverse and experimental. The title translates to ''Vacation at last'', or, seeing as this was his first solo effort, ''Urlaub at last''. The album originally had a cover featuring Farin walking away from a building that he had implicitly set on fire. The idea was dropped following the September 11 attacks. Schrei Nach Liebe
"Schrei nach Liebe" ("Cry for Love") is a punk rock song by German band Die Ärzte. It is the second track and the first single from their 1993 album ''Die Bestie in Menschengestalt''. It is one of the best known political anthems and anti-fascist songs in Germany and was made in the context of the Hoyerswerda riots. Content and music style The verses tell the story of a fictional right-wing extremist, who gets insulted. Excerpts from the song's lyrics (with English translation): :"Du bist wirklich saudumm Alles muss man dir erklären, weil du wirklich gar nichts weißt…" :''"You are really stupid Everything has to be explained to you, because you really don't know anything…"'' In the chorus the insults go further: :"Deine Gewalt ist nur ein stummer Schrei nach Liebe Du hast nie gelernt dich zu artikulieren. Deine Eltern hatten niemals für dich Zeit". :''"Your violence is just a silent scream for love You never learned to express yourself. Your parents never ...
