Jan Halvor Halvorsen
Jan Halvor Halvorsen (born 8 March 1963, in Bamble) is a former Norwegian football player and the current manager of Lyn. Club career Halvorsen started his youth career in Pors, debuting at the age of fifteen and a half. He has also played for clubs like Brann, Rosenborg and Hertha Berlin. In 1992, he became Danish cup winner playing for AGF Aarhus. National team Halvorsen has five caps for the Norwegian national team. Managerial career Since 1996 Halvorsen has worked as football manager, managing top teams from Norway and Sweden. In 1999, he took over as manager for Start and led the club to promotion to the Norwegian Premier League. In 2000, he led the recently promoted side to the semi-finals of the Norwegian Football Cup. Bamble
Bamble is a municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Grenland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Langesund. General information Name The Old Norse form of the name was ''Bamblar'' (a plural form). The name could be related to the word ''bembel'' m 'belly' (used in the meaning 'round hill/mountain'). The Norwegian First Division, also called 1. divisjon and OBOS-ligaen (named sponsor is property developer OBOS), is the second-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. The Norwegian Football Cup ( no, Norgesmesterskapet i fotball for herrer) is the main knockout cup competition in Norwegian football. It is run by the Football Association of Norway and has been contested since 1902, making it the oldest football tournament in the country. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. Lyn Fotball
Lyn 1896 Fotballklubb () is a Norwegian football club and a department of the sports club Ski- og Fotballklubben Lyn based in Oslo, whose members also participate in Nordic skiing and orienteering. Until 2010, SFK Lyn had two football departments, one professional section and one amateur section. After the professional football department, FK Lyn, was bankrupted in 2010, the fans decided to support the amateur department, Lyn Fotball, instead. With the help of some of the old FK Lyn players, Lyn Fotball has won three consecutive promotions, and are playing in the 3. divisjon.
