Jamshid Sharmahd
Jamshid Sharmahd ( fa, جمشید شارمهد; born 23 March 1955) is a German-Iranian journalist and software engineer. He was born in Tehran and moved with his family to Germany when he was seven years old. He has been a German citizen since 1995. He established his own software company and in 2003 moved to the United States, where he is a legal resident. In late July 2020, the Intelligence of the Islamic Regime arrested Sharmahd in Dubai and brought him to Iran. The Iranian government alleges that Sharmahd is responsible for a 2008 attack on a mosque in Shiraz that killed 14 people and injured 200. He has also been accused of being a spy for Western Intelligence, which is a common accusation made of regime critics. His family deny all accusations. His abduction is one of a series of kidnappings carried out by the government of Iran. 2008 Shiraz Explosion
The Shiraz bombing was an April 12, 2008 explosion that occurred during prayers at the Hosseynieh Seyed al-Shohada Mosque in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz, Fars province. Fourteen people were killed and 202 were injured. Event According to Al Jazeera, reports showed that the explosion occurred in the side where males were praying. Around 800 people, which were mostly youth, were gathered at the Mosque to hear sermons which usually include sermons attacking the Wahabi denomination of Sunni Islam and the Baháʼí Faith. According to the BBC, the explosion shattered windows of several houses that were close to the mosque, as reported by Iran News Agency. The deputy governor of the province, Mohammad Reza Hadaegh, told IRIB an investigation was under way. A prisoner (also known as an inmate or detainee) is a person who is deprived of liberty against their will. This can be by confinement, captivity, or forcible restraint. The term applies particularly to serving a prison sentence in a prison. English law "Prisoner" is a legal term for a person who is imprisoned.
