Jammu Janbaz (Urdu: ) is a Pakistani franchise cricket team that competes in the Kashmir Premier League. It was founded in 2022 after the inaugural edition of Kashmir Premier League. The franchise is owned by Ghulam Hussain Shahid. The franchise represents Jammu which is the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir. History 2022 season A few days after the conclusion of the 2021 KPL the President of the KPL, Arif Malik, announced that a seventh team named Jammu Janbaz would be added to the KPL in order to pay tribute to the martyrs of Jammu. In July 2022, it was announced that former Pakistani captain, Shahid Afridi, would join Jammu Janbaz as a mentor. The Kashmir Premier League ( ur, ; abbreviated KPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league organized by Pakistan Cricket Board in the Pakistani administrated side of the Kashmir. League was founded in 2021. The league consists of seven franchises; six teams representing major cities in Kashmir, while one team is representing the Kashmiri diaspora. Each team plays the group stage matches in a single round-robin tournament with the top four teams qualifying for the playoffs and ultimately for the final. Matches played in the Kashmir Premier League do not have the official T20 status. Usama Mir (born 23 December 1995) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays as a leg-spiner for Central Punjab in domestic cricket. He has recently joined Colwyn Bay Cricket Club in the North of Wales. Domestic career Mir has played for Khan Research Laboratories from 2013 to 2015 seasons and remained as wicket-taking option for his captain. Mehran Mumtaz (born 7 April 2003) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Peshawar Zalmi. Early life Mehran was born on 7 April 2003 in Rawalpindi, Punjab, with family roots in Kohta, Azad Kashmir.
