Jamie Thomas
Jamie Thomas (born October 11, 1974) is an American professional skateboarder and skateboard industry entrepreneur. Thomas is the owner and founder of Zero Skateboards and Fallen Footwear, until he announced its closure in January 2017. Thomas' nickname in the skateboard industry is "The Chief". Early life Thomas was born in Florida. He grew up in Dothan, Alabama, but also spent time as a child in Atlanta, Georgia and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida for his father's work as a nuclear engineer. Thomas started skateboarding in Palm Beach Gardens at the age of eleven. Skateboarding career In 1991, Thomas won a skateboarding competition in Panama City, Florida. In 1992, Thomas left Alabama and relocated to San Francisco, California in order to pursue a career in professional skateboarding. History Founded in 1989 by former professional skateboarder, Tod Swank, Tum Yeto manufactures, distributes, exports and wholesales the Foundation, Toy Machine, Pig Wheels, Dekline, Ruckus, and Habitat brands. Encinitas ( Spanish for "Small Oaks") is a beach city in the North County area of San Diego County, California. Chad Muska (born May 20, 1977) is an American professional skateboarder, musician and entrepreneur. In November 2012, Skin Phillips, editor-in-chief of ''Transworld Skateboarding'', described Muska as "one of the most marketable pros skateboarding has ever seen." Early life Chad Muska was born Chad Michael Muska in Lorain, Ohio to Joel Kevin Muska and Deborah Ann Muska. He has a sister, Lyndsey who is two years younger than him. Cliché Skateboards was a skateboard company based in Lyon, France, and distributed by the American company Dwindle Distribution. The company was established in 1997 by French professional skateboarder Jeremie Daclin. In 2001, Cliché was purchased by the France-based Salomon Group which in 2005 became a part of Amer Sports.
