James Southwell
James Southwell (born 1 July 1988) is an Australian guitar player, singer, songwriter. In addition to his releases, he has toured Australia and New Zealand extensively from 2006 playing in excess of 2000 shows, including many festival appearances. Biography Early life Born and raised in Bowning, New South Wales, James Southwell is the son of Tony Southwell, he was raised by Tony and his second wife Michelle along with James' siblings. Tony divorced his first wife, Penny, early in James' life. James has four sisters (Natalie, Kate, Shelby and Daytona) and one brother (Creepy Uncle Craigy-boy Southwell). Southwell first became interested in playing guitar when he received one for Christmas when he was seven years old from his mother & father and his uncle, Rick Gooding. James now lives in Canberra, ACT with his wife Alanna, and daughters Magnolia & Lenora. Musical career Southwell left school in 2005 to pursue his dream of being a full-time guitar player. Bowning, New South Wales
Bowning is a small town in the Southern Tablelands, west of Yass, New South Wales, Yass on the Hume Highway in Yass Valley Council, Yass Valley Shire. Bowning is an Australian Aboriginal languages, aboriginal word meaning 'big hill'. At the , Bowning and the surrounding area had a population of 573. Chris Wilson (Australian Musician)
Christopher John Wilson (2 December 1956 – 16 January 2019) was an Australian blues musician who sang and played harmonica, saxophone and guitar. He performed as part of the Sole Twisters, Harem Scarem and Paul Kelly and the Coloured Girls, and fronted his band Crown of Thorns. Wilson's solo albums are ''Landlocked'' (June 1992), ''The Long Weekend'' (March 1998), ''Spiderman'' (2000), ''King for a Day'' (July 2002), ''Flying Fish'' (2012) and the self titled ''Chris Wilson'' (2018). In March 1996, Wilson collaborated with Johnny Diesel in a blues project, Wilson Diesel, which issued an album, '' Short Cool Ones'', composed mostly of "soul and R&B standards". It peaked at No. 18 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Outside of his music career Wilson taught English at various secondary schools in Melbourne for about 20 years. Jamison Ross
Jamison Ross is an American jazz drummer and vocalist. He is the winner of the 2012 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Drums Competition. Ross released his debut album ''Jamison'' on Concord Jazz on June 23, 2015. His sophomore album, ''All For One,'' was released on January 26, 2018. Career A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Jamison sang and played drums at his grandfather's church. He studied music at Douglas Anderson High School and Florida State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies. He attended the University of New Orleans where he earned a Master of Music. His career began during high school after appearing in the 2007 documentary ''Chops''. In 2009, he was invited to the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Residency at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. During this program he met singer Carmen Lundy, who invited him to join her band. Jason Ricci (born February 3, 1974) is an American harmonica player and singer. In addition to his solo albums, Ricci has appeared as a guest harmonica player on albums with Johnny Winter, Terence Blanchard, Nick Curran, Ana Popovic, Walter Trout, Cedric Burnside, The Mannish Boys and Joe Louis Walker among others. Ricci was named "Best Harmonica Player" at the 2010 Blues Music Awards, and also performed on Grammy winning 2014 Johnny Winter album '' Step Back''. Maurice, Louisiana
Maurice is a town in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 964 at the 2010 census and 2,118 for the 2020 Census. It is part of the Abbeville micropolitan statistical area. History The village, originally called ''"Mauriceville"'', derives its name from its founder Maurice Villien. Villien, a native of Savoy, France, came to America in 1855 and sold goods in New Orleans, New Iberia and Milton. His wife had land holdings there and they established a home and grocery store. On May 29, 1889, the site, on which the church and rectory in Maurice were to be built, was donated by Villien. The town was incorporated on December 27, 1911 and Joseph Villien, Maurice's son, became mayor until 1928. Today, Joseph Street leads to the old home.
