James Pat McDaid
James Pat McDaid (born 1980s) is an Irish sportsman and politician. A Gaelic footballer, he has played for and captained the Glenswilly senior team. Born to James and Peggy (née McDermott of Termon), McDaid has four siblings: Barry, Nicola, Aisling and Mark. He grew up at Glenkeeragh, Glenswilly, attended Glenswilly National School and St Eunan's College in Letterkenny, then studied Sustainable Building Technology at Institute of Technology, Sligo. McDaid has won two Donegal Senior Football Championships (2011 and 2013). He scored a point in the 2011 final and captained the team during the 2013 final. Then on they went to the Ulster club final and a Division 2 League title. He kept Sean Quigley scoreless in the Ulster semi-final. McDaid injured a cruciate ligament in his knee while playing in America in 2008 and had to have two cartilage operations on his bones. McDaid is also a politician, representing the Fianna Fáil party. Glenswilly GAA
Glenswilly GAA (Irish: ''CLG Gleann tSúilí'') is a GAA club based in Glenswilly, County Donegal, Ireland. Most noted for winning the Donegal Senior Football Championship in 2011, 2013 and 2016, the team has fielded players like All-Ireland winning captain Michael Murphy. The club's chairman is Michael Murphy. History The present club was founded in 1982. A teenage Manus McFadden arranged a meeting at Foxhall of Glenswillyites who were interested in forming a team, with Joe Kelly, Roger McDaid, Fr Eamon Crossan, Finbar Glackin, Jimmy Joe McGinley and chair Eddie McDevitt (who has since died). Cruciate ligaments (also cruciform ligaments) are pairs of ligaments arranged like a letter X. They occur in several joints of the body, such as the knee joint and the atlanto-axial joint. Highland Radio
Highland Radio is the local radio service for the County Donegal (North) franchise, operating under a licence from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI). Headquartered at the Mountain Top in Letterkenny, the station broadcasts throughout a large swathe of Ulster (especially West Ulster), with it being received in the nearby city of Derry and in much of the rest of County Londonderry, as well as in large parts of County Tyrone and County Fermanagh, and in parts of County Antrim. Highland began broadcasting on 15 March 1990, and is currently franchised until 2024.
