James McHugh (Gaelic Footballer)
James McHugh is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. As of 2009, he was working for the ESB. Playing career McHugh made his championship debut against Cavan in 1990. He played against Armagh in the 1990 Ulster final, won by Donegal. A member of Donegal's 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship winning team, he played for the county from 1990 until 1996. He played as a forward and started at left half forward in the 1992 All-Ireland Final, scoring a point from play as Donegal defeated Dublin by a scoreline of 0–18 to 0–14. He won an All Star in 1992. He played on for his county until 1996. With his club Cill Chartha, McHugh won the Championship in 1985, 1989, and 1993. Family His brother Martin was also a member of the 1992 All-Ireland winning team. Martin's sons Ryan and Mark and James's son Eoin have also played for Donegal. Letterkenny
Letterkenny ( ga, Leitir Ceanainn , meaning 'hillside of the O'Cannons'), nicknamed 'the Cathedral Town', is the largest and most populous town in County Donegal, a county in Ulster, the northern province in Ireland. Letterkenny lies on the River Swilly in East Donegal in the north-west of Ulster, and has a population of 19,274. Martin McHugh (Gaelic Footballer)
Martin McHugh (born 1961) is a former Gaelic footballer, manager and media pundit. He is a native of Kilcar, County Donegal. McHugh was a member of the Donegal county team that won the 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. He also won three Ulster Senior Football Championships, two All Stars and, in 1992, the Texaco Footballer of the Year. He works as a pundit on the BBC Television's coverage of the Ulster Championship and has made occasional appearances on RTÉ Television during other competitions. He has also managed Cavan and IT Sligo. McHugh's sons Mark and Ryan later played for Donegal as well. Playing career Club McHugh played Gaelic football with his local club Cill Chartha. Kilcar Gaelic Footballers
''Cill Charthaigh'' (anglicised as Kilcar) is a Gaeltacht village on the R263 regional road in the south west of County Donegal in Ireland. It is also a townland of 233 acres and a civil parish in the historic barony of Banagh. The village itself consists of a main street with a Catholic church (known locally as 'the Chapel') at one end and two textile factories at the other end. Eoin McHugh (born 1994/5) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. He is the only son of James McHugh, a member of the team that defeated Dublin in the 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. His uncle Martin was also a member of that team. Playing career Club With his club Cill Chartha, McHugh won the 2012 Donegal Minor Football Championship. He scored six points in the final and his use of both feet in executing these scores during a man of the match display was praised in the press. Ryan McHugh (born 11 April 1994) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. He is the brother of Mark and the son of Martin.
