Wicomico County Public Schools is the public school district for Wicomico County, Maryland. WCPS has 24 schools, consisting of 16 elementary, 1 elementary/middle, 3 middle, 1 middle/high, and 3 high schools. The district has over 15,000 students and close to 1,300 teachers. Franklin Parsons Perdue (May 9, 1920 – March 31, 2005), born in Salisbury, Maryland, was for many years the president and CEO of Perdue Farms, now one of the largest chicken-producing companies in the United States. Background Frank was the only child of Arthur Perdue and Pearl Perdue (nee Parsons). The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES) was established in 1984, and is located in Salisbury, Maryland.
