James Coleman (New Zealand Broadcaster)
James Coleman is a New Zealand television presenter, radio host and actor. Radio Coleman first become prominent in radio broadcasting during his time on the now-defunct alternative rock station Channel Z. Following the station's demise he has worked on Kiwi FM, and was previously a regular host on Radio Live. Television Coleman was the first host of TV3's Breakfast television show ''Sunrise''. After poor ratings, Coleman resigned and was replaced by Oliver Driver. The show was subsequently cancelled. He also starred as a fictionalized version of himself in Series 2 of ''The Jaquie Brown Diaries''. Most recently, Coleman was the host of ''Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger'', which was nominated for an Aotearoa Film and Television Award. Film In 2001, Coleman acted in local film '' Stickmen''. Marton ( mi, Tutaenui) is a town in the Rangitikei District, Rangitikei district of the Manawatū-Whanganui region of New Zealand's North Island. It is situated 35 kilometres southeast of Whanganui and 40 kilometres northwest of Palmerston North. Ngāti Apa are tangata whenua for the Marton area. The town of Marton is the largest in the Rangitikei district, and began life as a private township in 1866, when shop and housing sections were sold at auction by local landowners. ''The Jaquie Brown Diaries'' is a satirical New Zealand sitcom in which real-life television personality Jaquie Brown plays a fictionalised, over-ambitious, status-obsessed version of herself. The series was created by Gerard Johnstone, Jaquie Brown and Hayley Cunningham and premiered 25 July 2008 on TV3. NZ On Screen
NZ On Screen is a state-funded online promotional showcase of New Zealand television and film. Funded by NZ On Air, it provides free worldwide access to NZ-produced television, film and music videos. Content is streamed and the webpages provide authoritative background information. The site was launched in October 2008 and is updated constantly. It provides titles in full or as excerpts, with background notes, photographs and profiles of key cast and crew. All material is rights-cleared and there is some content now on the site that had not been seen since its mid-twentieth century screening. ''Stickmen'' is a 2001 New Zealand film directed by Hamish Rothwell and starring Robbie Magasiva. The screenplay concerns Thomas (Paolo Rotondo), Jack (Robbie Magasiva) and Wayne (Scott Wills), who are the best of mates. Each of them lives their life the way they play pool. Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger
''Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger'' was a New Zealand science-based reality television series broadcast on TV3. Each episode saw the two hosts, James Coleman and Greg Page, work to produce a "new and improved" version of a household appliance or object. At the beginning of each episode, the hosts selected their team from a combined pool of five people, four of whom had skills that were of value to the project, and one of whom (the wildcard) did not. They then spent the remainder of the day in a shed producing the new device, before holding competitive tests the following morning. The tests were adjudicated by Kirsten Pederson. Oliver Driver (born 22 November 1974) is a New Zealand actor, director, broadcaster and television presenter. Television Driver was the host of ''Let's Be Frank'', and the Creative Director of New Zealand's only alternative music television station, ALT TV, The channel is now no longer on air. He co-hosted TV3's early morning news show ''Sunrise'', which was cancelled on 8 April 2010. Driver played Mike Galloway, a pot smoking nurse on the long-running New Zealand drama ''Shortland Street'' as well as starring in a comedy called ''Serial Killers'', which was based on the lives of six storyliners working on a Shortland Street style hospital based soap.
