Jamaica (band)
Jamaica, formerly Poney Poney, is a French electronic rock band. The group has not given any sign of activity since 2014. History The group, first called Poney Poney, was initially a solo project by Parisian graphic designer Antoine Hilaire. The name of the group is given in homage to a short-lived group called Bunny Bunny. He then had a group with Camille Clerc and Gaspard Augé. He was joined in 2005 by Samuel Nicolas on drums and Florent Lyonnet on bass, originally from Aix-en-Provence, son of a hairdresser and a bricklayer father, who grew up partly in Algeria before move in with Guillaume from the Chateau Marmont group then with Nubia Esteban, the daughter of Lio. Vanda Maria Ribeiro Furtado Tavares de Vasconcelos (born 17 June 1962), known professionally as Lio, is a Portuguese-Belgian singer and actress who was a pop icon in France and Belgium during the 1980s. Bertrand Lagros de Langeron, known professionally as So Me, is a French graphic designer, animator, director and music producer. He is the art director for Ed Banger Records and also releases his own tracks on that label. He has created videos for DJ Mehdi, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Justice (band), Justice, and MGMT. He won the 2005 MTV European award for his video for the Justice vs. Simian song "We Are Your Friends". He is also the main designer for the clothing company Club 75.
