Jakub Popiwczak
Jakub Popiwczak (born 17 April 1996) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as a libero for Jastrzębski Węgiel and the Poland national team. Popiwczak won a silver medal at the 2022 World Championship. Career In 2012, he joined Jastrzębski Węgiel and debuted in the Polish PlusLiga. In 2013, his club won a bronze medal of the Polish Championship. On 23 March 2014, Popiwczak with his teammates beat Zenit Kazan in a match for third place of the 2013–14 CEV Champions League held in Ankara and won the bronze medals. In 2014, he achieved his second bronze medal of the Polish Championship. Legnica
Legnica (Polish: ; german: Liegnitz, szl, Lignica, cz, Lehnice, la, Lignitium) is a city in southwestern Poland, in the central part of Lower Silesia, on the Kaczawa River (left tributary of the Oder) and the Czarna Woda (Kaczawa), Czarna Woda. CEV Champions League
The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split in to 5 groups. The Polish Men's Volleyball SuperCup is an annual competition for volleyball clubs in Poland played by the PlusLiga champions and Polish Cup winners. It is overseen by the Polish Volleyball Federation ( pl, Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej) and the Professional Volleyball League SA ( pl, Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej S.A.).
