Jakov Medić
Jakov Medić (born 7 September 1998) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or defensive midfielder for club VFL Bochum, on loan from Eredivisie side Ajax. Career Born in Zagreb, Medić started his career in local clubs Kustošija and HAŠK, before moving on to play in top-tier U17 and U19 Croatian competitions for Hrvatski Dragovoljac and NK Zagreb, before going on trial and signing for Istra 1961 during his last year of eligibility as a youth player. In the Pula-based club, Medić made his senior debut in the Prva HNL coming on for David Puclin in for David Puclin in the 58th minute of their 2–0 away loss to Slaven Belupo. Medić was capped only once more for the team, before leaving the club in the summer of 2017. 2017–18 Croatian Second Football League
The 2017–18 Croatian Second Football League (also known as Druga HNL and 2. HNL) was the 27th season of the Croatian Second Football League, the second level football competition for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 18 August 2017 and ended on 23 May 2018. The league is contested by twelve teams and played in a triple round robin format, with each team playing every other team three times over 33 rounds. Heracles Almelo is a Dutch professional football club based in Almelo, founded in 1903. The club has won the Dutch national title twice, in 1927 and 1941. David Puclin (born 17 June 1992) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Chinese Super League club Nantong Zhiyun. Club career Born in Čakovec, Puclin started playing football at Sloboda Varaždin, before moving in 1999 to the Varteks Varaždin, where he would spend the following 12 years. On 7 March 2022, FIFA announced that, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, all the contracts of foreign players in Ukraine are suspended until 30 June 2022 and they are allowed to sign with clubs outside Ukraine until that date.
