Jake Mathews
Jake Mathews (born Jacques Lagrandeur born March 14, 1971 in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian country music singer, songwriter and performer. Career Jake's self-titled debut CD (''Jake Mathews'') garnered six nationally charted hits: "I’ll Do You One Better," "Try Again Tomorrow," "That's How Long," "Rush," "I’m Gone" and "There Ain't No Such Thing." His second CD, ''Time After Time'', released in 2004, was voted Best Album by Country Music News. Singles released from the album include the title track, "Signs of You Everywhere," "Kings for a Day" and "Arizona on My Mind." Although he is the younger brother of Gil Grand, he has established a music career in his own right. In 2006, Mathews and Grand joined forces for "Raise the Roof," a tour that took them across Canada, raising awareness of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Greater Sudbury
Sudbury, officially the City of Greater Sudbury is the largest city in Northern Ontario by population, with a population of 166,004 at the 2021 Canadian Census. Jeth Weinrich
Jeth Weinrich is a Canadian documentary filmmaker, and music video and commercial director. Early life Weinrich was born in Pittsburgh in 1951 and grew up in Calgary; he was valedictorian of his graduating class at Viscount Bennett High School in 1978. He played for the Calgary Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League for two years, but his football career was ended by an injury and he temporarily left Calgary to attend the Parsons School of Design in New York. Career After working as an assistant to Oliver Stone, Weinrich returned to Calgary and founded Red Motel Pictures. He produced and directed the 1990 documentary ''Moon of the Desperados'', about the American Bullrider, which was nominated for Best Sports Program at the 5th Gemini Awards. The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) was founded in 1976 as the Academy of Country Music Entertainment to organize, promote and develop a Canadian country music industry. The groundwork for the association began on June 3rd, 1973 when a group of twelve entertainers, promoters and radio personalities met at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, Ontario and formed a Board of Directors to help promote Canadian content. The Canadian Hot 100 is a music industry record chart in Canada for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. The Canadian Hot 100 was launched on the issue dated March 31, 2007, and is currently the standard record chart in Canada; a new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by ''Billboard'' on Tuesdays but post-dated to the following Saturday.
