San Luis Potosí (), officially the Free and Sovereign State of San Luis Potosí ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de San Luis Potosí), is one of the 32 states which compose the Federal Entities of Mexico. It is divided in 58 municipalities and its capital city is San Luis Potosí City. 2020–21 Liga De Expansión MX Season
The 2020–21 Liga de Expansión MX season is the first professional season of the second-tier football division in Mexico. The season is divided into two championships—the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura—each in an identical format and each contested by the same sixteen teams. The Apertura tournament started on 18 August 2020 and concluded on 20 December 2020. The Clausura tournament started on 12 January 2021 and will conclude in May 2021. The 2017 Campeón de Campeones was a Mexican football match-up that was played on 16 July 2017 between the champions of the 2016–17 Liga MX season Apertura and Clausura champions, UANL ( Apertura 2016 champions) and C.D. Guadalajara ( Clausura 2017 champions). Like the previous editions, the 2017 Campeón de Campeones was contested in a single-leg format at a neutral venue in the United States. This year's match took place at the StubHub Center in Carson, California for the second straight year. Leagues Cup
The Leagues Cup is an annual association football competition between clubs from Major League Soccer and Liga MX in North America. It debuted in July 2019 with four teams participating from each league. The first edition was a single-elimination tournament hosted in the United States with a final played in Las Vegas on September 18, 2019. Beginning in 2023, the tournament will be expanded to include all clubs from MLS and Liga MX, and will function as the regional cup for the North American zone within CONCACAF, with the top three teams qualifying for the CONCACAF Champions League. Format The 2019 edition of Leagues Cup featured four clubs from each league in an eight-team single-elimination knockout tournament, with the first two rounds hosted by the MLS club. The 2023–24 Liga MX season (known as the Liga BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons) is the 77th professional season of the top-flight football league in Mexico. The season is to be divided into two championships—the Apertura 2023 and the Clausura 2024—each in an identical format and each contested by the same eighteen teams.
