Jaime C. Bulatao
Fr. Jaime C. Bulatao, SJ, affectionately known as "Fr. Bu" to his friends, colleagues, and students, was a Filipino Jesuit priest and psychologist, for founding the Ateneo de Manila University's Department of Psychology in 1960. The same department is now designated as a Center of Excellence by the Philippines Commission on Higher Education (CHED). He earned degrees in theology from Woodstock College in New York and MA in Experimental Psychology, and later a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University. Bulatao was known for his innovative use of hypnosis in therapy and his exploration of Filipino animistic beliefs within a psychological context. His works include ''Technique of Group Discussion'' (1965), ''Phenomena and Their Interpretation: Landmark Essays 1957-1989'' (1992), and ''Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy'' (2000). Santo Niño De Cebú
The Santo Niño de Cebú is a Roman Catholic title of the Child Jesus associated with a religious image of the Christ Child widely venerated as miraculous by Filipino Catholics. It is the oldest Christian artifact in the Philippines, originally a gift from the Spaniard Conquistador Ferdinand Magellan to Rajah Humabon (baptized as Carlos) and his wife and chief consort, Reyna Humamay (baptized as Juana) on account of their Christian baptism in 1521. Bienvenido F. Nebres (born March 15, 1940) is a Filipino scientist, mathematician, and a Jesuit priest who was the longest-serving university president of the Ateneo de Manila University. He succeeded Joaquin G. Bernas in 1993, and served as University President until 1 June 2011. He currently sits as a member of the board of trustees of Georgetown University, Regis University, the Asian Institute of Management (where he sits as Vice-Chair), and other colleges and universities in the Philippines.
