Jahir Butrón
Jahir Butrón Gotuzzo (born 30 October 1975) is a Peruvian football manager and former player who played as a center back. He is the current manager of Pirata. Butrón is also the older brother of goalkeeper Leao Butrón. Club career Butrón started his football career in the popular youth academy of Sporting Cristal but did not manage to win a starting spot in the senior squad. Then from 1995, he played for Peruvian Second Division side Guardia Republicana. There he won the 1995 Peruvian Second Division and thus promotion to the First Division. Then he spent time playing for clubs such as Alcides Vigo, Lawn Tennis F.C., Deportivo Pesquero, and Deportivo Wanka. During his time with Deportivo Wanka, Butrón scored his first goal in the Peruvian First Division in Round 14 of the 2000 Apertura season. The 2002 Torneo Descentralizado was the 86th season of the top category of Peruvian football (soccer). It was played by 12 teams. The national champion was Sporting Cristal. Competition modus The national championship was divided into two and half-year tournaments, the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura. Each was played on a home-and-away round-robin basis. The winners of each would play for the national title in a playoff, but a team had to finish in the top 4 in both tournaments to earn the right to play the final. If the same club had won both tournaments, it would have won the national championship automatically. Following-season Copa Libertadores berths went to each half-year tournament winner, and the best-placed team in the aggregate table. Foot Ball Club Melgar, known simply as FBC Melgar or Melgar, is a Peruvian Association football, football club based in Arequipa, Peru. The Liga 2 (Ligue 2) of Peru is the second-highest division in the Peruvian football league system. It is a professional and promotional division organized by the Peruvian Football Federation.
