Emil Frey Racing is a Swiss racing team and racecar constructor. The team is named after the Emil Frey Gruppe, a Swiss car dealership for Jaguar, Lexus and other marques. Safenwil
Safenwil is a municipality in the district of Zofingen in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. History The first settlement in the area was a Roman era estate on a mule track from the Wigger valley toward Vindonissa. This was followed by a small Alamanni camp or settlement. The ''Eberkopf'' (german: Boar's Head) rock carvings date back to 893 AD, though the modern village of Safenwil is first mentioned in 924 as ''Sabenewilare''. In the 13th century the village was under the rule Belp. In the 14th century the Ifenthal family ruled over the village from Scherenberg castle. With the conquest of the Aargau in 1415, the village came under the authority of Bern. Under Bernese rule, Safenwil was located in the Lenzburg District. A sequential manual transmission, also known as a sequential gearbox, or a sequential transmission, is a type of non-synchronous manual transmission used mostly for motorcycles and racing cars. It produces faster shift times than traditional synchronized manual transmissions, and restricts the driver to selecting either the next or previous gear, in a successive order. Design A sequential manual transmission is unsynchronized, and allows the driver to select either the next gear (e.g. shifting from first gear to second gear) or the previous gear (e.g., shifting from third gear to second gear), operated either via electronic paddle-shifters mounted behind the steering wheel or with a sequential shifter. Group GT3, known technically as Cup Grand Touring Cars and commonly referred to as simply GT3, is a set of regulations maintained by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for grand tourer racing cars designed for use in various auto racing series throughout the world. The Jaguar XK is a two-door 2+2 grand tourer manufactured and marketed by British automobile manufacturer Jaguar Cars from 1996–2014 in hatchback coupé and convertible bodystyles, across two generations. The Anneau du Rhin is a racing circuit situated near Biltzheim, France, about north of Mulhouse. It is used for racing and club sport events, track days and presentations. History The original circuit was planned and built in 1996 by Marc Rinaldi on the site of a former hunting ground and is now managed by his son François Rinaldi.
